Hiyoko Imai [hiyokoimai.com] makes the tiniest cut paper illustrations imaginable. You get the impression she would relish the challenge of illustrating on the top of a pin. At the same time her work is joyful and expansive. It’s a neat trick to create works at such a small scale that have a robust enough presence when enlarged on the printed page. Currently working with the fine folk at Good Inc [goodinc.nl], she contributed to many of the publications Good produce and has recent lent her intricate drawing skills to Amsterdam clothing store Tenue de Nimes‘s [tenuedenimes.com] latest publication [issuu.com].
